		<description>Another good thing is that Calcitonin also seems to ease the pain of the compression fractures.  I do not know the mechanism.  It does not appear to be a direct analgesic effect.  I.e.,you wouldn&#039;t take it for a headache.  But, it does have some benefits for the pain as well as treating the cause.</description>
